party's over
Home from the Mullikin's - we made it all the way until 8 pm - LOL! The kids were bathed and in bed within 30 minutes of being home and totally crashed.
Allie was a doll, everyone couldn't believe what a happy baby she is - we hear that all of the time! She really is such a sweetheart! She let several people hold her too!
There ended up being about 15 people there by the time we left. Of course we knew no one but both John and I aren't shy around crowds, LOL. We also got to meet Zach's fiancee, Whitney. She is a cutie and fits right in with their family!
Asher was having a big time wrestling and pillow fighting with Zach. Of course he got too rambunctious and then gets really moody when called down. He is the moodiest kid - gosh he has my personality which is hard for me!
Roger said one sheep mama has given birth to a healthy baby, but another mama was having trouble earlier today trying to deliver twins. John was actually there before they went 4-wheeling and was up at the barn with Roger, Zach, and Whitney. Roger couldn't get his hand up the sheep (I know, TMI!) so Whitney took off her ring, stuck her hand up there and pulled out both of those babies. John was duly impressed! They were 2 weeks premature and unfortunately were dead. Both Roger and Zach were really upset. Talking with Roger tonight he said out of maybe 60 births in a season he will lose about 10 and its always hard. He said he and Zach are on "night calls" this whole week with about 30 mamas due to deliver any day. They will wake up every 3 hours and head up to the barn to check on them. If one is in labor they will stay and help.
Off to hit the hot tub for awhile before we go to bed! John is on call tomorrow and the Maves are coming over - Jeff and Adam will help John with the chicken fencing and then watch football and the girls will fawn over Allie. ;) Supposed to be super cold with wind chills near zero degrees.
Happy New Year!!
