monday again
It's already Monday?! You would think with John having 3 days off in a row, not to mention the other time off last week, that we would all be ready to start a new week, but I thought the time flew. We really did have a wonderful long weekend all together. Yesterday afternoon we had an impromptu photo shoot, taking over 230 pictures. I uploaded them to my computer this morning and have been spending some time weeding through them. I am now in process of uploading them to Snapfish. Here are a few faves:
Allie signing BROTHER:
Allie signing DOG:
Me with the two kiddos in a group hug:
Allie is really picking up the signs lately it seems! She usually immediately tries to mimic any sign we show her. Really awesome. The funny thing is that some of her signs look similar as her dexterity still has a way to go.
Put Allie in the car this morning to take Ash to school and she was so excited to be facing frontwards! She started giggling and clapping. Too cute.
Yesterday evening we had Jeff and Adam over for ribs that John had smoked, complete with John's homemade BBQ sauce, pit baked potatoes, and corn on the cob (frozen from our garden). Good meal! Adam and Ash played the Wii until Ash's bedtime, then Adam and I battled in tennis and baseball. He is fun to play with, really gets into the game - like Asher, but he is older and therefore more challenging to play. John still hasn't gotten into playing it much, but whatever. We are enjoying his birthday present even if he isn't, LOL.
The pups were inside all day yesterday after having baths. They are so fun to have inside, just a lot of WORK! Asher is really developing more and more of a rapport with them, especially with Penny. She loves to tousle with him and then rolls over so he can scratch her tummy. Allie just likes to sneak food to whichever pup is under her highchair come feeding time, which seems to be Jill usually! Allie will eat a little, then she will take a bite of food in her right hand and streeeetch her hand over the side of the tray to get it to Jill, who snarfs it down and then licks and licks Allie's fingers which sends Allie into fits of giggles which then results in a stern look from Mommy, who says "no, no that is Allie's food, NOT dog-dogs!" as she gets the wipes out yet again.
John just called - he is done with work for the day - yahoo! Which means he can pick up Ash from school - double yahoo! I think they will run to Kroger for me as we are out of several things and we are supposed to get bad weather starting around 7 pm tonight. Winter Weather Warning has already been issued, and we are expecting 2-4 inches of snow and ice. Praying for gentle snowfall versus nasty debilitating ice!
