First we'll start with the gorgeous, rosy colored glow of a sunset we had last night. This was about 9p, from our front porch.
Now, on to the flooding we had Tuesday and Wednesday in this area. My friend Gayle took several pictures - she lives 3 miles down the road towards town - and John took some pictures too on his way home from work Wednesday.

This is truly sickening. We knew it would happen eventually when these people decided to move this trailer here a year or so ago. I feel so bad for them, and especially for the kids. This trailer is right on the bank of the river.

We sold our 4th puppy, Radar, to a wonderful hunting & companion family that lives in Michigan. Our ad FINALLY appeared in The American Brittany magazine, and the buyer's dad saw it, called us Thursday, the night before we got back from Myrtle Beach, we returned his call Saturday morning, he passed the info along to his son who was packing to head out for his wife's family reunion in Ohio the next day, only an hour and a half from us! Talk about timing!
He and two of his four kids drove down yesterday afternoon. They stayed for a good hour and toured the farm and saw Mama Jill and Radar in action. They had already seen the puppy blog and we figured they weren't leaving without the pup, and thankfully we were right. They have a 13 year old Brittany female currently. They seemed like a super nice family and we feel 100% comfortable with Radar going to them!
So now we're down to 4. 4 pups that is, plus Penny and Jill. The new kennel is 400 square feet, 20x20, and divided into 3 runs that are 6.5'x20' apiece. It's perfect now to have 2 in each run. The 2 big pups, Mark & Jett, share the left side. The 2 smaller pups, Ben & Piper, have the middle run. And Penny & Jill have the right side. The pups are 20 weeks (already!) today. Ben seems to be a bit timid, and we aren't sure he is going to make as a hunter, but time will tell.
OK, time to get some outside work done!
