New Addition

We have a new addition to the farm!  An orphaned calf.  We named him Mooey.  He was born last Mon or Tues, and his mother died giving birth. Right now Mooey is in a kennel run, and we are feeding him 2-3x a day, with a milk supplement we mix up from powder.  Everyone is asking what we will do with him.  He is a beef cow, so he will go in the field with the others when he gets big enough, and get sold in the Fall/Winter.  The kids are enjoying feeding him, and we have had some friends come out to visit him and help feed.  This picture is from Friday, my friend Denetra and her little girl Brie came over to play and visit Mooey.  Allie is in the red coat and Brie in the pink sweater.  And that's me all bundled up.  And yes, that is snow!  It snowed the night before, Thursday, the night Asher and John went and picked Mooey up.
I ordered several dance items from an online company, including Allie's Princess Swan Lake outfit for her recital.  Here she is trying it on for me, I was so excited to see her in it I forgot to put her new white ballet slippers on that go with it!

Yesterday the children and I loaded up the Expedition and headed out to Mimi and Papa's house just outside of Memphis, for Spring Break.  It was about an 8 hour drive, typical for us, uneventful other than a bloody nose from Allie 30 minutes into it!  We enjoyed the warm weather yesterday evening, playing outside on the tree swing, having a bonfire, and Asher riding the go-kart.
It started raining last night, and is still going strong today.  The kids are enjoying a rainy-day-session, playing barbies, legos, playdough, computer games, baby dolls, and visiting with their uncle and Mimi.  I've been catching up on the computer and pictures!  We are loving being with family!
