wildlife sighting
Really cool thing this afternoon - a red fox hanging out right past our pond in the "backyard"! John saw a streak of red and hopped up from the couch to see what it was - she then plopped (we say she, I guess it could have been a he, LOL) down and sat in the same spot, near the woods, for over 20 minutes. We watched with our sets of binoculars. She was beautiful - red coat, white and black ears, white chest. Absolutely gorgeous. John was just pleased she didn't mess with the chickens - I told him, how could she?! It is a fortress! And he is pleased. :)
On another note - Thursday Allie and I went to Library Storytime at 11 am, then to lunch with a couple of other moms with their girls. Fun time! I haven't done that in a long time! Then on Friday, Asher, Allie, me, Rhonda, and Rachael drove over to Florence (near Cinci) to Otterville (way cool fun kids play place) and met another friend June there with her little girl, Sela, who is 3. Asher and Sela had a big time playing. They were "shopping" together in the grocery section, then unloading the groceries in the kitchen section, then playing trains together and also had a big time in the miniature section. June went to check on them at one point, and came back cracking up - Asher was moving some wooden contraption that was heavy and he had his cheeks all puffed out, being really serious, and Sela was next to him with her hands on her face like "Oh! You are SO STRONG!" It was DARLING!! Allie and Rachael loved the ballet/dance section with the ballet bars and wall mirrors.
Forgot to add in my post on Wednesday that Allie signed "change" for the first time when I changed her diaper - Rhonda was right there and saw her do it, too. *smile*
And on the egg front, we have consistently been getting 7 eggs per day for the last week.
