the 1st (of many) Halloween Parties...
We have several Halloween Parties scheduled this month! The first one was Sunday, at the Country Club. Asher was very excited to go, I think these kids are going to grow up thinking Halloween is celebrated all month long (*sigh).
There was a hayride, buffet, games and of course candy. We didn't stay for the crafts although I know Asher would have loved to - we scooted out of there before he realized he was going to miss something. lol Our friends Casey and Denetra and their little girl Brie (who is 4 months younger than Allie) were there and we enjoyed getting to visit with them - it has been rare that both me and John and both Casey and Denetra all get together with the crazy schedules! I am uploading pics to Snapfish, but here are a few faves.
I was so proud of Asher not fussing about being Darth Vader again this year. He reallllly wanted to be Boba Fett (bounty hunter from Star Wars) but the costumes are just so expensive and this Vader costume from last year still fit (it was big last year). He was a very good sport about it. Allie looked absolutely adorable as a little Bee. She is getting to look like such a KID instead of a BABY!!!
Allie with Denetra and Brie, playing Cornhole.
Ash with another Darth Vader, his friend Jake.
Ash playing one of the games.
Allie loved this game of tossing rings on the Octopus.
On the way home, Allie reached over and got Asher's V-Smile stuff. She is so hilarious. She copies how she has seen Asher do it (except he actually puts the headphones on his ears, she just tucks them around her neck!). She figured out what button to push to turn it on and is thrilled when Toy Story is in there - she tries to move the joystick around to make Buzz move. She loves Buzz and Woody!!
This morning we are heading to Blue Licks Battlefield State Park, which is about 30 min away. Several from the Playgroup are meeting up to check out the pumpkin/scarecrow displays and then have a picnic lunch and play for a bit on the playground. It is breezy and cool, but will be so nice to be outside and have a change of scenery.
Yesterday Asher got on Blue for exceptional good behavior. He was very proud of himself as were we. He chose Playing the Wii for 30 minutes as his home reward. I don't think I wrote on here that he has a Behavior Contract each week that he sits down with Mrs Hughes and comes up with his goal and rewards for meeting the daily goals and weekly goal. And then he brings it home and we also have daily goals and a weekly goal and then everyone signs it. His daily goal (smiley) results in his picking from 5 choices, such as: pick his own supper, play Wii for 30 min, extra book at reading time, 3o min one-on-one time with mom or dad, TV for 30 min. Yesterday we played Mario Galaxy which he says is his new favorite game (over Star Wars). lol It is fun!
OK, Allie is awake and ready to get outta the crib!
